Escape
to Victory is the greatest football
film ever made.
Directed by John Huston in 1981 it is set in
a Prisoner of War camp during the second world war. Michael
Caine stars as Captain John Colby, who leads Sylvester
Stallone and an all star cast of footballers including
Pele, Bobby Moore, Osvaldo
Ardiles,and Mike Summerbee, who agree
to play a football match against some local german troops, but
after the Nazi propaganda machine takes over they end up in occupied
Paris playing the German National team.

Relaunch
16/11/02
Welcome to the new look Escape to Victory Website.
Admittedly there is not that much difference with the older one,
although on a technical side theres a lot more behind it for compatability
reasons and because the site was beginning to get out of control.
Ive got a few features lined up for the coming weeks so keep visiting
to see whats new.
Taxing stuff 16/11/02
I wont pretend to fully understand it or
the implications, but Mik Undertown sent me an email about how
the funding of Escape to Victory apparently led to a watershed
legal decicion in the UK. Take a look at it and see what you think.

Pierre Chastenais has now added a picture of the referees to this
growing collection of flick based shenanigans. Pure class in a glass,
Trevor Arthur and Pierre deserve a round of applause for the effort
put in to these.

Allies
Third Goal????? 18-05-02
Who actually scored the third allied goal. Was it Denya, Summerbee,
Osman, or even Thorensen. It's still open for debate, personnally
I think it was Osmans, but its not conclusive, find out more by
