Escape to Victory is the greatest football film ever made.
Directed by John Huston in 1981 it is set in a Prisoner of War camp during the second world war. Michael Caine stars as Captain John Colby, who leads Sylvester Stallone and an all star cast of footballers including Pele, Bobby Moore, Osvaldo Ardiles, and Mike Summerbee, who agree to play a football match against some local german troops, but after the Nazi propaganda machine takes over they end up in occupied Paris playing the German National team.
If you've never heard of this film before then welcome to the Escape to Victory Web Site. "Here's To Victory"

Picture Page Update
20/01/04

The way this site shows the pictures has been changed, rather than have separate pages for each pic, Ive decided to generate them using a single file. Also main Galleries are now up, and rest will follow by end of the week. As soon as this happens I will then do a big picture update with a lot of new pics for you all, as well as the wallpapers I promised last month.

If you have any problems with the new pictures set up then please let me know, and I'll see if I can solve the problem, Ive tested it on IE and a Netscape compatible with no probs as yet, but you never know.

Wallpapers
Im thinking of doing a few wallpapers, if this would be something you would like get in touch either by email or the discussion board and let me know if there are any specific images I should do, should I do a collage, or just simple stills from the movie? Also Id probably have them as JPEGS (win98 or better can translate them to wallpaper) I could store them as BMPs but would probably zip them up. If you are interested let me know
regards Steven.

Taxing stuff

I wont pretend to fully understand it or the implications, but Mik Undertown sent me an email about how the funding of Escape to Victory apparently led to a watershed legal decicion in the UK. Take a look at it and see what you think.
